How can I see more cameras in the app? Why does my neighbour have more cameras than me in the app?
What influences camera viewing?
The display of cameras in the app is due to the configuration of the video door entry system and the model of terminal (WIF🛜I or NO-WIFI) that each user has installed in their home.
The difference in visualisation is found when there are several General Entrance Connect panels, which are the ones that allow you to call any home in any block. If this is your case, the number of cameras you can see from the app will depend on the model of monitor you have installed:
- If your monitor is WIFI🛜, it is this device that is responsible for sending the information to the app. Therefore, it can only share the data it receives itself. In this case, the app will only have access to the General Entrance panel 0.
- If your monitor is NON-WIFI, the data forwarding is done directly by the Connect Entrance panel. This allows the app to access all the General Entrance Connect panels installed in the system, and therefore more cameras than you can see on the physical monitor.
And from the physical monitor?
Regardless of the model of monitor, a maximum of three cameras can be viewed from the physical device installed in your home:
- The camera of the panel 0 of your block
- The camera of the panel 1 of your block
- The camera of the General Entrance 0
This nomenclature corresponds to the icons displayed in the top left corner of the monitor (0, 1, G).
What can I do if I want to see more cameras?
The best thing to do is to consult your installer to find out how your system is configured, what type of monitor you have and to assess whether it is possible to make any adjustments to extend access to cameras from the app.
