Alexa compatibility: How can I link the app with Alexa?

DuoxMe is compatible with the Alexa ecosystem of smart speakers and displays, you can use them to receive an Alexa announcement when someone is ringing the doorbell from your video doorbell or to open the door with a voice command such as "Alexa, open the front door".

We explain below how to set up found devices and use your speaker with Alexa.

How to set up DuoxMe with Alexa

In the Alexa app, add the Fermax DuoxMe skill. After that, follow the steps that the app will show you to link the devices.

Each paired home includes:
• 1 or more Doorbell type devices (depending on the number of Main Doors enabled in the home settings)
• 1 or more Lock type devices (depending on the number of Main Doors enabled in the home settings)
• 1 F1 device

The name of the device corresponds to the name you have set in the DuoxMe app for your home and main doors.

How to open the door with Alexa

In order to open the door using a voice phrase, you need to enable the Open by voice option on the lock type device and provide a 4-digit confirmation code, which is required by Alexa for security reasons.

After that, you will be able to use your voice to unlock the door when someone calls the video door phone by simply saying "Alexa, open Home". Alexa will ask you for the confirmation code.

How to receive video door phone calls on my Alexa speaker

To receive call notifications on the Alexa speaker, you need to activate the Doorbell Press Announcements on the Doorbell type device that corresponds to the door from which you want to receive the call notification, e.g. "Home - Main gate".
