Why has my product deteriorated in a few months outdoors?
The product data sheet indicates the IP degree of protection of our products, which is the degree of protection they have, depending on the degree during installation we advise you to do the following as a preventive measure or to reduce damage:
In humid environments or with possible water ingress:
- Shelter well with visor or protective accessory to prevent water ingress.
- Insulate the joints of the wall in case it is porous.
- Bear in mind that liquid can also enter from the back of the wiring duct and damage the electronics, so it is advisable to use an insulating material.
In saline environments: it is ALWAYS advisable to follow the following cleaning guidelines:
- Use a soft cloth or sponge dampened with warm water and a neutral detergent. Avoid abrasive, alkaline or acid products, which may damage the coating.
- Rinse the surface with clean water and dry it with a soft cloth or paper towel. Do not allow the water to dry on the coating, as this may leave marks or stains.
- Repeat the process from time to time, depending on the degree of exposure and contamination of the surface. It is recommended to clean at least once a year, or more often if exposed to extreme conditions of humidity, salinity, dust or solar radiation.
*For equipment with optical sensors such as fingerprint readers, it is recommended that they be installed indoors or sheltered from direct sunlight.
