[DUOX PLUS] Spare part PVT09374 CITY MICROPHONE SET AMP. DUOX PLUS

Step-by-step instructions on how to replace the microphone of a CITY/SKYLINE DUOX PLUS amplifier.

  1. Remove the front of the board with the help of the three side tabs.

Use a flat screwdriver to pry it off, being careful not to deform the aluminium.

2. Remove the grille from the chamber and its respective guards. Take care not to damage the plastic tabs and mounting gaskets.

3. To remove the front microphone, carefully pry open the rear casing with a flat screwdriver and prise open the side clips.

4.  We have to disconnect the flat cable from the microphone. To do this, use a thin flat-blade screwdriver to press the black retaining tabs on each side of the microphone. Once opened, the ribbon cable can be released. The microphone can then be removed from the front.

5. Replace the microphone with its spare.

6. To replace the microphone and to facilitate the entry of the ribbon cable, unscrew the three screws holding the plate.

7.Insert the new microphone from the front.

8. From the back, pull the ribbon cable out to its connector and insert it, before closing the black tabs with the screwdriver.
Stretch the flat cable slightly to ensure that it is securely fastened.

9. Make sure that the plate is securely in place, then tighten the three screws previously removed and replace the rear cover.

  10. Place and ensure that the mic cloth and the speaker cloth are correctly positioned. The speaker cloth will snap into place directly on the grille of the amplifier and the black water repellent mic cloth on the rubber in its cavity.  If your amplifier was fitted with a metal mesh, it must not be refitted.

metal mesh remove.

11. Place the plastic protection, matching the cavity in which we have placed the hydrophobic cloth with the microphone and carefully place the lens on top of it.

Note: Always remove the transparent plastic film that protects the lens if it has not already been removed.

12. Fit the grille making sure that it is flush with the lens.

Note: If the grille does not close properly, help yourself by opening the clip with a screwdriver while pressing it into place.

13. We finish by fitting the aluminium front of the amplifier.

NOTE: On completion, it is recommended to check that establishing audio between the panel and the terminal does not generate unwanted effects such as coupling or echoes.
