Recommended basic WiFi router configuration for Blue

You most likely won't need to make any changes to your WiFi router settings, unless you don't have a 2.4GHz WiFi network set up. If you have questions or prefer not to access your router settings, you can contact your Internet service provider.

  1. Check that your router is broadcasting a 2.4GHz WiFi network and you are selecting it in the pairing process.
If you don't know what frequency band your router uses or if it is dual band, contact your internet provider. Your VEO monitor only supports 2.4GHz networks, so you must select the 2.4GHz network during pairing.
  2. Check that the SSID (network name) is visible and the network security method matches the one selected in the app (WPA2).
  3. DHCP must be enabled.
This is usually the default option. The monitor connects via DHCP to your home router.
  4. Check your port blocking and MAC filtering settings.
For Blue to work properly, ports TCP 80, 443, 8883, 123 and 53 must not be blocked for the video door phone, nor must it be denied by MAC restrictions. If your firewall restricts access to these ports, check with your system administrator.
  5. Restart your WiFi router.
Turn it off for about 30 seconds and then turn it back on. Disable and re-enable your smartphone's WiFi connection.
