[MEET] Case study: MEET residential complex estate with IP video door entry system

[MEET] Case study: MEET residential complex estate with IP video door entry system

For a MEET installation in a gated community, comprising:

  • A digital panel at the main entrance to the site.
  • Fenced detached houses.
  • A dedicated access panel on each plot.

The recommended architecture is as follows:

Operation

Main entrance to the gated community

Ref 1832                          Ref 1455             Ref 1445

The digital panel at the main entrance is configured as a block panel.

  • The visitor searches for or dials the house number.
  • The call is routed to the MEET monitor in the house.
  • The resident can activate the relay associated with the gate to the estate.

Access to the house plot

                  Ref 1508                                                                          Ref 1506                                                                   Ref 1507

Each property has a second MEET panel installed at the entrance to the plot.

  • This panel is configured to call only the associated property.
  • The call is routed to the same MEET monitor.
  • The resident can open the pedestrian gate or plot gate using this panel’s relay.
  • The resident can set their plot panel and the estate’s main entrance panel to auto-on mode.
  • In homes where a 1506-1507 kit is installed, the Wit monitor acts as a home automation display; for this purpose, it is equipped with a second network card that allows the monitor to be connected to the home’s router and to control a home automation system compatible with the Fermax Wit display, as can be seen in home 4.

Advantages of MEET

  • A single monitor can receive calls from multiple panels.
  • Ability to distinguish the origin of the call (housing estate or individual plot).
  • Independent management of access points.
  • Simple integration over an IP network.
  • Ability to forward calls to the MEET ME mobile app.
  • Simple installation topology using structured cabling and connections between villas via the property’s switch.
