A Fermax proximity reader such as the Resistant 5296 (WG), Cityline 6958, or Skyline 7461 with an external controller, or the Cityline Desfire 6957, Skyline Desfire 7463, and the AC-MAX 5225 fingerprint reader also read FERMAX Desfire 4531 cards or Desfire 4532 key fobs, but the RESISTANT 5293 keypads are not compatible because they do not read them and therefore cannot be registered on this type of RESISTANT 5293 proximity keypad.
Desfire cards, like Mifare cards, have a UID serial number that is openly accessible.
That code is what readers thatdo not use encryption read.
But it makes no sense to use these Desfire cards, which are more secure, if you do NOT use them with your encrypted DESFIRE readers—which are what secure the installation and your cards. If you do not use this type of Desfire reader, that UID can be copied and duplicated just like any other card.
